These honorees are chosen based on performances from games played from Feb. 24 – March 1 with some from earlier this week and are based on the same geographical breakdowns as our regional Top 20 team rankings.

East
Salvatore Biasi (Hazleton, Pa.)
The 5-foot-10 senior guard has his team ready to make a run in the Class AAA state playoffs.
In a 60-48 win last week over Williamsport that enabled the Cougars to clinch the District 2/4 AAA title, Biasi came through with 32 points and had five assists and four rebounds.
Biasi had 24 points and 10 assists in his previous game and is averaging 26.4 points and 4.0 assists per game. He has led Hazleton to a 21-4 season record so far.
Southeast
Chai Baker (Malone, Fla.)
Corvallis, Oregon may seem a light year away from the small Florida panhandle town of Malone, but that’s where Malone basketball star Chai Baker is headed in the fall to begin his career at Oregon State.
And Baker ended his career at Malone in a memorable way. The 6-foot-3 senior guard poured in 44 points and hauled in 14 rebounds to lead Malone past Hamilton County of Jasper in the Class 1A state championship.
Baker, who had a 40-point game earlier this season, averaged nearly 23 per game for the Tigers, who finished 27-4. They also won the school’s 14th all-time state title, but the first since 1998.
Midwest
Jackson Davis (Lafayette, Lexington, Ky.)
It may have come in a 83-80 loss to Lexington Catholic, but it was too tough not to honor what Davis did in that game. The 6-foot-8 forward ripped down 31 rebounds to go with 32 points.
Davis also is perhaps the hottest uncommitted prospect in the nation right now. On Tuesday, according to Ben Roberts of the Lexington Herald-Leader, Davis was offered at practice by Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford.
For the season, Davis is averaging 25.5 points, 14.2 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
The son of former University of Kentucky player Johnathon Davis, Jackson had committed to Rice earlier this year but is now wide open. In addition to Oklahoma State, offers have come in from Alabama, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Butler, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Central Florida.
Southwest
Josh Robinson (St. Mary’s, St. Louis, Mo.)
This is a choice that wasn’t so much for last week, but from the week before that. In that week, Robinson went berserk with 56 points, 55 points and 48 points in three games.
Last week, Robinson scored well but it was “just” 34 points and came in a 63-62 loss to MICDS (otherwise known as Mary Institute & St. Louis Country Day School).
So far this week, Robinson has led St. Mary’s to a win against Battle in the Class 4, District 4 tournament with 26 points and seven assists.
For the season, the 6-foot-3 senior guard, who has signed with Austin Peay, is averaging 36.3 points per game, the No. 1 reported total in the St. Louis metro area, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
West
Deishaun Booker (Agassi Prep, Las Vegas, Nev.)
Twin towers Stephen Zimmerman and Chase Jeter at Bishop Gorman deservedly got most of the attention during last weekend’s state finals in Reno, but a performance by this 6-foot-1 junior guard also was head-turning.
In a 71-60 victory by the Stars over Incline in the Division III state championship, Booker shined with 30 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and six steals.
For the season, Booker averaged approximately 21 points and seven assists per game. He led Agassi Prep to a 26-1 record, including a 19-game win streak to close the season.
